She’s also skydived, enjoyed hot air balloon rides, tackled white water rafting, and loves spending time in the water—whether it’s oceans, lakes, or pools.

At home, Julie enjoys life with her terrier-mix pup, Bailey, and her black tuxedo kitty, Pookie, who keep things fun and grounded.

Julie is married to her high school sweetheart. They grew up just five miles apart. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri–Kansas City with a degree in elementary education, and her husband (her "honey bunny") is a graduate of Iowa State University with degrees in philosophy and accounting.
